Foundations of Free Flow Flava

Bringing East Asian inspiration to life through Modern Music

Alexandr Osipov (born October 18, 1994), better known as FREE FLOW FLAVA, is a beatmaker from Russia. His first official album “BOKUDEN” was released in 2014. FFF claims to be hugely inspired by Eastern Asian folklore and is known for mixing traditional Japanese music with modern hip-hop beats.

Free Flow Flava’s music taps into Japanese folklore of evil spirits, ancient Samurai history, and legendary Ninjas. He mixes some of his albums from recognizable retro arcade games and draws from anime and Manga comics. FFF’s music often mashes spoken word from Japan’s pop culture amine series and philosophical films. His rhythms and tempos flow freely in a very distinct East Asian Style with American Rap themes.

“Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be like water, my friend.” – Bruce Lee
